Internship Opportunities

Psychology Internship Master's Training Program
Healing Pathways Collective offers a part-time master's level training program in the areas of individual therapy intervention, diagnosis, consultation, and supervision. Training takes place in a clinic setting and offers training in clinical and counseling psychology. Interns will provide individual, family, and couple's therapy. The internship program is based on a 20-hour week, for 9-12 months.  Interns spend an average of 10-15 hours per week of face-to-face time with clients.  Interns are paid.

The Goals of the Master's Internship in Clinical/Counseling Psychology:
To produce competent therapists that are trained for practice in the general skill domains of clinical/counseling psychology. To integrate the scientist-practitioner model with practical knowledge and understanding of professional ethics. The internship program provides an emphasis on: diagnosis, clinical conceptualization, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention.  In addition, the interns are expected to develop professional and collegial relationships with staff. They are also expected to develop their own professional identity by functioning effectively as members of a team that includes professionals from many different agencies. The objectives are both to become proficient in the provision of therapeutic services and to enhance the professional qualities necessary to participate effectively in different organizational settings.

Expectations of the Master's Internship in Clinical/Counseling Psychology:
Each intern is expected to carry a caseload of 12-15 therapy clients per week. Group supervision occurs twice per month for one hour.  Individual supervision is offered two times per week, for a total of two hours per week. Each intern receives a stipend.
