Parental Responsibility Evaluator (PRE); Reunification/Reintegration Therapist; Provides Expert Testimony; Parenting Time Supervisor; and Conducts Autism, Psychological, Neuropsychological Evaluations

I am an experienced forensic therapist working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Forensic Psychology. I am a psychologist candidate, licensed professional counselor, and a licensed addiction counselor.

I utilize an integrative, individualized treatment approach, drawing from cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, and family systems theories. All treatment is then planned around progressing toward the achievement of the established treatment goal(s). If you ever have questions about the nature of treatment or anything else about your care, please don’t hesitate to ask.

  • Jenna Satre, MA, LPCC

As a clinical counselor my first priority is my client. I strive to provide a safe environment where my client feels comfortable and heard. I capitalize on creating a solid therapeutic relationship fueled by empathy and genuine curiosity for my client.

In that therapeutic relationship, we will work together as a team to locate unhealthy thought patterns and change the direction of our thoughts, which changes the direction of our lives. Change can be intimidating and vulnerability is scary, but with faith throughout the process, the willingness to heal, and being intentional with healthy thinking, we can redirect our own lives. I believe that each client is a uniquely crafted individual, you are not the sum of your mistakes, or the sum of the mistakes done towards you. You are human, you are gifted, you are powerful, you are YOU.

  • Lauren Kinney, MA, LPCC, NCC, SSP

I am a queer, non-binary high school counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with a B.S. in Sociology and an M.A. in Counseling Education. I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and often integrate Somatic Bodywork and Positive Psychology techniques into my practice.

It is crucial to mention that this work happens through a culturally-responsive care lens that strives to prioritize diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging in everything we do. I cultivate cultural humility in an effort to acknowledge, honor, and celebrate what makes you unique, and I aspire to understand how these aspects of your life shape your experiences.

What does that mean for our work together? We will collaborate on behavior change strategies, like mindfulness, goal-setting, gratitude practices, and values identification, to discover authentic ways to build your courage, live in alignment with your values, unearth your purpose, and most vitally, get you out of your head and back into your body. Techniques like these construct scaffolding that enables you to more easily identify solutions that empower you to elevate your decision-making skills and bring you one brick closer to building your best life.

Alongside my work at HPC, I volunteer at The Gathering Place as a Career Services Specialist and regularly collaborate with Stand for Children Colorado on policy work and community organizing that advances educational equity and racial justice in Colorado.

While I work predominately with teens and young adults, I am open to adults of all ages if my profile speaks to you, especially if you are interested in additional services, like career counseling, group work, or affirmative therapy for new or struggling members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Alternatively, if you are grappling with your own feelings around a loved one's disclosure of their gender, pronouns, or sexuality, I would love to offer you a safe space to process.

  • Nicole Goldstein, MA, LPCC

I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and in 2024, I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Denver.

I am an innately empathetic and curious person, and the combination of these traits created anintense desire to work with other humans and explore the most intimate details of their conscious and unconscious mind.

The experiences we have in our lives are complex, and they can shape how we interact with the world around us. Each of us finds our own ways to navigate through life’s transitions, joys, and challenges, but sometimes we need a little support along the way. That’s where I come in.

I strive to create an atmosphere for my clients that makes them feel seen and valued in all their identities and experiences as we work together on their treatment goals. To do this, I integrate a variety of elements derived from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) through a person-centered lens.

I enjoy using aids of mindfulness, music, artistic materials, games, and anything else that feels relevant and meaningful in the therapy space. The beauty of therapy comes from vulnerability, authenticity, and collaboration— I look forward to walking alongside you in your journey.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Caregiving and Counsel from Oral Roberts University, and I earned my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health from Denver Seminary in 2024.

I have experience working with children, teens, couples, and adults in a private practice setting. My clinical focus is children and teens, but I welcome anyone who would like to share their unique journey with me.

As we journey through life, we encounter challenges that can make it difficult to move forward. Sometimes we can overcome these on our own and other times we need help working through them. Many times, these challenges we encounter today stem from events that occurred in childhood or earlier in life. This is where I come in, I am here to walk with you on your unique journey to overcome past and present difficult times.

I am passionate about helping others by coming alongside them in their journey so they do not feel alone in their challenges. To do this, I use empathy and understanding to create a safe comfortable environment to get to know you and your story. As your journey unfolds, we will work together to set goals and navigate the challenges preventing you from moving forward.

I utilize a client-centered/trauma-informed approach integrating aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, attachment theory, and EMDR. I am also a Prepare and Enrich certified facilitator for couples.

  • Keiyon Walton, MA, MFTC

I graduated with my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Wheaton College. So often, hate isolates and separates us from those around us and widens a gap in our connections. The antidote to hatred and isolation is an intentional decision to turn towards one another – to be curious, compassionate, and caring.  One of my favorite quotes is, “Love turns fences into bigger tables” (adaptation from Tamlyn Tomita’s quote). With this kind of love in action, I believe in the power that resides within human connections - to go to the hard places, sitting with a person through their difficult emotions while holding hope for change. In my own journey, I have experienced how the environment shaped a story around me. Telling me and those around me that our lives appeared to be hopeless and feeling the limitations of choices and options for the future based on location, upbringing, skin color, and resources. Additionally, I have experienced the impact of adult male role models stepping into these spaces of scarcity and broadening the horizon for the future in realistic and tangible ways. And so, I see it as my turn to be an active presence for children and their families, holding hope with them through family therapy.  You do not have to do this alone; within therapy, I can come alongside you and walk this part of the journey together. Family therapy is not just for children and their moms. I also support men on their journey through life as they learn to carry the burdens the world places on being a man. Moreover, I can bring to the table my life experience as a black man – intimately knowing, understanding, and living through the systemic struggles of racism and isolation from the family unit that black men have endured over the generations. I desire to help people who have experienced the pain of being colored in America and to provide security in not feeling alone in the experiences associated with being colored. Additionally, an area within life that can be commonly overlooked is families with children who have special needs.  I have worked with children and adolescents in the past with special needs and have seen parents struggle with exhaustion and isolation.  Raising a child with special needs takes an extra helping of consistency, predictability, and emotional availability – let therapy be a space to get your cup filled so that you can thrive and not just survive.

I have a wide range of experiences across the world, including serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Rwanda and working in social services in Brooklyn, NY. It is truly an honor to work in the mental health field and experience firsthand so many unique journeys of personal growth and empowerment.

As a dedicated counseling intern, I passionately believe in the transformative power of a therapeutic relationship built on empathy, respect, and authenticity. My approach is centered on the understanding that each individual is the expert of their own life, and my role is to provide the support, understanding, and unconditional positive regard that allows them to fully explore their potential.
